New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Birmingham’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Itihaas, at 18 Fleet Street, Birmingham was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 5.

And Uwish Lounge Ltd, at 81 Eyre Street, Birmingham was given a score of two on September 8.

It means that of Birmingham's 1,675 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 982 (59%) have ratings of five and just 22 have zero ratings.
