New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Birmingham’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Nawab Curry Junction Ltd, at 96a Lozells Road, Lozells And East Handsworth, Birmingham was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on July 27.

And Kurdistan Restaurant, at 17 Rookery Road, Handsworth Wood, Birmingham was given a score of one on July 27.

It means that of Birmingham's 1,684 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 982 (58%) have ratings of five and just 18 have zero ratings.
