New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Birmingham’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Chelo Persian Kitchen, at 27 Maney Corner, Birmingham was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on May 19.

And Lees Kitchen, at 1623-1625 Bristol Road South, Longbridge, Birmingham was given a score of two on May 19.

It means that of Birmingham's 1,710 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 985 (58%) have ratings of five and just 24 have zero ratings.
