New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Birmingham’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Subshakes, at 782 Stratford Road, Springfield, Birmingham was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on May 5.

And Rozu Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge, at E202 The Arcadian, 70 Hurst Street, Birmingham was given a score of one on May 5.

It means that of Birmingham's 1,641 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 859 (52%) have ratings of five and just 27 have zero ratings.
