New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Birmingham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

UK's fried chicken, at 836 Stratford Road, Springfield, Birmingham was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 16.

And Big Saj Sparkhill, at 56 Showell Green Lane, Birmingham was given a score of zero on October 16.

It means that of Birmingham's 834 takeaways with ratings, 340 (41%) have ratings of five and just 15 have zero ratings.
