New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Birmingham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Caspian Pizza and Moonlight Desserts, at 1412 Pershore Road, Bournville, Birmingham was handed a one-out-of-five rating after assessment on August 21.

And The Hajee Desi Khanna, at 592 Coventry Road, South Yardley, Birmingham was given a score of zero on August 21.

It means that of Birmingham's 838 takeaways with ratings, 346 (41%) have ratings of five and just 20 have zero ratings.
