Drop in visits to A&E at Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital last month
Fewer patients visited A&E at Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital last month – but attendances were higher than over the same period last year, figures reveal.
NHS England figures show 5,792 patients visited A&E at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust in July.

Hide AdThat was a drop of 1% on the 5,869 visits recorded during June, but 4% more than the 5,594 patients seen in July 2021.
The figures show attendances were above the levels seen in the early days of the coronavirus pandemic – in July 2020, there were 3,630 visits to A&E departments run by Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital.
All of last month's attendances were via major A&E departments – those with full resuscitation equipment and 24-hour consultant-led care.
Across England, A&E departments received 2.2 million visits last month.
