A Birmingham takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Sammy's Chicken and Shakes, a takeaway at 492 Stratford Road, Springfield, Birmingham was given the score after assessment on September 13, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Birmingham's 906 takeaways with ratings, 326 (36%) have ratings of five and just 21 have zero ratings.
