A Birmingham takeaway has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Bellas Dessert, a takeaway at 1155 Bristol Road South, Northfield, Birmingham was given the maximum score after assessment on May 19, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Birmingham's 918 takeaways with ratings, 302 (33%) have ratings of five and 24 have zero ratings.
