A once-lively Pentecostal church in the suburb of Handsworth, Birmingham, is set to be auctioned with a guide price of £10,000, potentially opening opportunities for redevelopment.

The Living Waters Community Church at 5A Waverhill Road, once a popular worship hall for the local Afro Caribbean community, will have a guide price of £10,000+ in the livestreamed auction on Thursday 6 February.

Pictures of the church still show an elaborate decoration on a wall of the main meeting of a verse from Proverbs in the Bible which reads: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.”
