Hundreds gather to watch dancers perform Dirty Dancing hit at the train station

The Dirty Dancing cast who are performing at The Alexandra theatre in Birmingham city centre made a surprise appearance at New Street train station yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, October 12).

The performers re-enacted on of the musical’s most iconic moments in front of hundreds of surprised shoppers and rail passengers.

Johnny (Michael O’Reilly) and Baby (Kira Malou) performed the famous lift scene and delighted unsuspecting travellers throughout the station.

If you didn’t happen to be passing through, don’t worry. You can still catch the performance at the theatre.

Dirty Dancing plays at The Alex until Sat 16 Oct. Tickets available at atgtickets.com/birmingham
