The Snowman at Birmingham Rep
For those of you who are still trying to shake off the final remains of the Christmas spirit, and just want one last taste before moving into the new year, a theatrical production of the classic Christmas tale “The Snowman” will be playing over at the Birmingham rep over the weekend.
The tale follows the story of a young boy whose Snowman comes to life on Christmas Eve. This leads them off on an adventure which includes Father Christmas, Dancing Penguins, and reindeer as they attempt the escape the evil Jack Frost before Christmas morning. Goldilocks and the Three Bears panto at Birmingham Hippodrome
Goldilocks and the Three Bears continues to play over at the Hippodrome. Running to the 30th January, the pantomime will be playing with a circus theme this year, offering riotous comedy, extraordinary special effects, and the return of much loved panto favourite Matt Slack. Bowie’s Birthday Night at the Night Owl
And on Saturday night, the Night Owl will be hosting Bowie’s Birthday Night, a celebration of David Bowie on his birthday. The evening will include live music, visuals, plenty of glitter and DJs in tribute to the late great David Bowie. There will also be a David Bowie costume contest with prizes for the best dressed Bowies in the crowd. More information is available on The Night Owl website.
