TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice: Two West Midlands theme parks rank globally in TripAdvisor Awards

Two theme parks in the West Midlands have ranked in the top 25 theme parks in the world.

Alton Towers in Alton, Stoke-on-Trent and Drayton Manor in Drayton Bassett, Tamworth, both ranked on the TripAdvisors Travellers’ Choice Awards against global competition.

The TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice ‘Best of the Best’ highlights the best way to make the most out of your trip.

The awards look at areas within the five main categories, including Things to Do, Hotels, Beaches, Destinations and Restaurants.

Rankings for each of the categories is based on user reviews and opinions that have been shared on the site from all over the world.

Traveller ratings and reviews from the last 12 months have been used to determine the Travellers’ Choice for each category as well as ‘Best of the Best’ for the remaining 24 places.

In Top Amusement Parks and Water Parks in the world, the Travellers’ Choice award was given to Siam Park in Adeje Park, Spain.

Already priding itself on being known as the Best Water Park in the world, Siam Park is perfect for both thrill seekers and those looking to relax.

Three UK theme parks were featured on the Best of the Best for 2022, including The Milky Way Adventure Park in Clovelly that reached number five on the list.

Alton Towers was awarded 13th overall in the Top Amusement Parks and Water Parks category with four stars from 19,585 reviews.

The theme park was rated higher among reviewers than Disneyland Paris and Disney’s Magic Kingdom on the list.

Drayton Manor took 17th place on the list with a TripAdvisor ranking of four stars from 7,495 reviews.

The theme park also was higher ranked than Disney’s Magic Kingdom, as well as Universal Studios Hollywood.
