1. Shopping at Touchwood
Touchwood shopping centre in Solihull is a one-stop destination for your needs. Whether you want grab a bite or splurge, this is the ideal choice and it’s in the heart of the town. 2. Dine at Hampton Manor in Hampon-in-Arden
Solihull has several picturesque villages including Hampton-in-Arden. Hampton Manor is a hotel now but it was the home of Sir Frederick Peel, son of Sir Robert Peel, who inherited the Hampton Manor Estate on the death of his father in 1850. The present Manor House was built in 1855 and is a Grade II listed building. It is also where the Michelin-starred restaurant Grace & Savour is located. 3. Visit Packwood House
The house was built in the 16th century but the interiors were restored between the First and Second World Wars by Graham Baron Ash. It’s a Tudor home containing a collection of 16th-century textiles and furniture. The gardens are also beautiful and renowned for herbaceous borders and a famous collection of yews. 4. Go shopping at Mell Square
Another great spot for shopping is Mell Square - where you find everything from shoes to art to music. And, it’s also going to be the host of Solihull Jazz Festival from 13-16 July.
