The Christmas season is here! One of its many staples is ice skating - but where can you go ice skating in Birmingham?

In this article, we’ll be telling you where you can find an ice rink in Birmingham. We’ll include the address of each rink and their opening times, as well as how much it will cost (if prices are available).

Most of the ice rinks on this list will only be open for a limited time during winter. So, if you’re thinking about going, don’t wait too long!

If you’re planning on going ice skating, be sure to take care while doing so. While it may seem like a fun activity, it can cause injuries such as fractures and bone breaks if you suffer a heavy fall.

Birmingham has two ice rinks where you can go skating. There is also another in Solihull, which we will feature on this list.

An adult ticket at Ice Skate Birmingham costs £13, while children aged 12 and under can enter for £11.00. However, children aged 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult. If you have a valid student card, you can enter for £12. Additionally, you can also purchase a family ticket (for two adults and two children or one adult and three children) for £42.00.

Ice Skating at Winter Funland

Address: National Exhibition Center, Pendigo Way, Marston Green, Birmingham, B40 1PA.

There’s plenty of fun festive activities at Winter Funland. Among them are funfair rides, a circus show and of course, ice skating.

There will be skate instructors present on the rink for anyone who isn’t comfortable on the ice. Additionally, the rink is only open to adults and children aged four and above.

Planet Ice Solihull

Address: Planet Ice, 119 Hobs Moat Road, Solihull, B92 8JN.

We’re cheating a bit with this one as it’s in Solihull - however, it’s more than worth the extra time it’ll take to get there. Public skate sessions last for two hours and will cost you £14. If you have an Ice Card, a special promotion that Planet Ice runs, you can enter for £11.80.

As well as public skate sessions, Planet Ice also offers skating lessons to both children and adults. You can also book an ice skating birthday party with them.
