Land Restaurant in the Great Western Arcade was included in the line up alongside Vanderlyle in Cambridge, Kusaki in Brighton and Hove, Prashad in Drighlington and Naïfs in London.

It’s a huge boost for vegetarian and vegan fans in Birmingham after another well known plant-focused restaurant closed recently. Jungle Bird on Beak Street, near John Bright Street, had won a wealth of fans before it announced its surprised closure a few weeks ago.

Land prides itself on being inspired by the land and opened in GWA in 2019. In addition to being plant-focused, it’s menu is also seasonal. The team pride themselves on using the freshest ingredients - while dishes are inspired by flavours from across teh glove.

The Michelin Guide said of Land: “Cauliflower is paired with gochujang, and squash with masala, at this modern vegetarian restaurant with a discernible Asian influence. “As you can guess from the name, the produce of the land is at the heart of the menu, with a highly seasonal approach taken to ensure its quality.

An intimate spot with sleek modern design, Land is nestled within the grand Victorian-era Great Western Arcade in the heart of Birmingham.”

Adrian Luck and Tony Cridland, co-Head chefs of Land said We are so grateful to have been included in Michelin Guide’s list of best vegetarian and vegan restaurants in the UK. It is an honour to sit alongside some of the top restaurants in the country. Thank you again to the Michelin Guide for our mention and to all our customers for their continuous support.
