You can welcome summer in style by participating in a number of water sports in and around Birmingham. The city might be far from the sea since it is landlocked but there are canals, rivers, and lakes to try new experiences in. Imagine being able to surf on beautiful waves or go snorkeling without having to travel more than 30 minutes.
Multiple venues offer a safe and supportive environment to learn and participate in paddleboarding, kayaking, windsurfing and more. There are venues near the city centre that teach open water swimming and other skills. They are easily accessible via public transport or by car as well and they offer lessons for people who are beginners to advanced in their skills.
All you have to do is figure out what you want to do - and the world is your oyster. Learning a new sport could be the best way to beat high temperatures in the summer. After all, the mercury broke all records in the summer of 202 and finding new ways to beat the heat might be the key to having a pleasant time during the season.
