Simba will be hoping to impress Sir Alan Sugar in the boardroom

The new series of the Apprentice gets underway this week and 18 candidates will be battling it out for a slice of investment from prominent businessman Sir Alan Sugar. Amongst the hopefuls is Simba Rwambiwa who is from Birmingham.

He has said he is ready for the challenge of the Apprentice boardroom and tasks. He added that he wants to change the status quo of the business world.

Mr Rwambiwa is a senior sales representative who believes his biggest weakness is that he is a perfectionist. He also believes he deserves investment from Lord Sugar because his business idea will improve the quality of people’s lives.

Ahead of the series, Mr Rwambiwa said: “My unique selling point (USP) is myself. If people can’t buy into you, they’ll never buy anything from you. My biggest weakness is that I’m a perfectionist, I always want to get things right.

“I deserve Lord Sugar’s business investment because I have a business that not only guarantees profit, but also guarantees to improve the quality of peoples’ lives.”

The new series of The Apprentice, which is the 17th to be made, gets underway on Thursday January 5 at 9pm. It will be available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
