This city centre shop is the ideal place for a bookworm or a keen model maker.

An independent specialist rail, road, air, maritime transport and military books as well as operating as a model shop, Tornado Books & Hobbies is a niche and interesting place to visit this World Book Day.

MyBookbasket

Ikon Bookshop

Located at the multimedia gallery near to the Sea Life Centre, the bookshop in Ikon has a wide selection of art theory and cultural books.

It’s books and other products are designed to celebrate creativity. You might even find your inspiration within the pages of one of these books.

The shop is open 11am to 5pm everyday apart from Mondays.

Books Revisited

This second hand book shop has been described as a “gem” of a place in one of its many positive Google reviews.

Located in Coleshill, the shop is run by the Mary Ann Evans Hospice Trust, but it is so much more than that according to it’s Facebook page.

To add to the World Book Day fun, the shop will be holding a competition for the best World Book Day themed fancy dress costume.

Simply send in your entry to the shop and a first, second and third place prize will be announced on 7 March.

Peter’s

Birmingham based business ‘Peter’s’ specialises in books for school.

From guides on how to study for exams, to fiction and non fiction texts which appear on school curriculums, Peter’s is an ideal spot for learning.
