'Unique cuddle puppy parties' in Midlands city bars and restaurant lets dog lovers hug playful pups

We’re a nation of dog lovers and one enterprising outfit is tapping into Brits’ love for dogs - by offering unique puppy-focused experiences.

Puppy Love Events holds sessions of puppy cuddles at venues where fans of little furry four-legged friends can hug, hold and play with the pups.

Taking place across cities including Birmingham, Derby, Nottingham, Leicester and Sheffield, the events see people gather at city cafes and restaurants, where packs of friendly puppies are unleashed.

Puppy Love Events call the sessions ‘Pooch Therapy’ with the aim of ‘lifting spirits, calming minds, and filling days with joy’.

The dogs are a mixture of rescue and family dogs who have been trained and socialised before meeting their two-legged cuddle companions.

The events will no doubt be a draw for pet parents who love puppy cuddles, but also those who may not be able to own a dog due to renting in accommodation where pets are not allowed.

Puppy Love Events hope their sessions ‘top up contentment levels’ to hopefully leave people much happier and more relaxed.

When you first walk into a venue, you will be greeted by a squad of friendly, playful pooches.

You are encouraged to give bouncy, squidgy pups plenty of belly rubs, gentle scratches and cuddles, or just simply hold them in your arms for a giant serotonin boost.

Puppy cuddle sessions run over weekends and cost £16 for two hours of pooch love and entertainment.

Some events at restaurants include a pizza in the ticket price, for you to relax and enjoy afterwards, whilst buzzing from your time with playful pooches.

Upcoming events in the Midlands include puppy cuddle sessions at Bustler and Pizza Pilgrims in Nottingham, and Peter Pizzeria in Leicester.
