This is the place to be to celebrate Team GB’s success in the Olympic games

As the Olympic closing ceremony approaches on Sunday, 11 August, Birmingham’s beloved retail destination, Bullring, has created the Bullring Fanstand to honour the Games.

Bringing the energy of Paris to Birmingham, St Martins Square, Central Street, and the Bullring terrace have been turned into a lively fan zone since July 26.

As the greatest spot to watch the Games, the Bullring Fanstand—one of just 11 certified fan zones nationwide—proudly displays the TeamGB seal of approval. This summer, it's the place to be with a huge screen and a deck full of seats.

Bullring & Grand Central’s Marketing Manager, Danielle Bozward, expressed her excitement about the festivities: “We all saw firsthand how sports-mad Birmingham is during the Commonwealth Games, which had the city absolutely buzzing; so we cannot wait to replicate that feeling at the Bullring Fanstand. We are thrilled to be one of only 11 TeamGB fan-zones in the UK, bringing Brum together to watch, support, and celebrate the Olympics and Paralympics. There’s something for everyone – from avid sports-watchers to fair-weather supporters – so gather your friends, family, and colleagues and come together to enjoy the Games.”

While the Bullring Fanstand is designed to be the perfect spot for sports lovers, there’s still plenty to enjoy for non-sports buffs. Visitors can look forward to:

Live Entertainment: Talent from around the city will be putting on spectacular shows throughout the weeks, including a performing arts takeover by Birmingham Weekender from 23-26 August.

Exclusive Giveaways: Exciting prizes and memorabilia will be up for grabs for those participating in the day’s activities.

Danielle Bozward concludes, ““Our goal is to create an atmosphere that captures the excitement and unity of the Olympic Games right here in Birmingham city centre. Events like this are not just about watching sport; they’re about building a sense of community, sharing experiences, and making memories. Whether you’re participating in tournaments, enjoying performances, or catching up with friends at the bar – there’s something for everyone.”

The Bullring Fanstand is also free to enter. A fantastic opportunity to celebrate Team GB and enjoy the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the heart of Birmingham.
