Midlands Hobby Horse racing charity event promises ‘galloping good time’

The sport is being showcased to raise money for first responders in the region.

A Midlands horse racing event with a twist is set to delight locals and raise money for charity. 

FastAid Hobby Horse Derby will see people get into the racing spirit, saddle up on toy horses and enjoy a night of laughter and competition.

Fun and friendly rivalry will unfold at Chelmsley Wood Town Council and Onward Club, on Saturday, September 21, 2024. 

The event is designed for families and individuals of all ages to come together and support the local community of first responders.

Billed as the ‘most anticipated’ event of the year, organisers are inviting people to get involved, either as participants, or by sponsoring a race. 

A spokesperson from the event said: ‘Saddle up, folks! The most anticipated event of the year is trotting into town!

‘Tickets cost less than a cup of coffee for a galloping good time! All proceeds go to support FastAid’s community first responders.
