The Sistine Chapel is coming to Birmingham – and tickets are already selling well for this unique visit.

Tickets for the exhibition, which has previously visited cities including London, New York, Vancouver and Brisbane, went are on sale.

The location for the ‘experience’ which is taking place next month, and lasts for between 60 and 90 minutes, has not yet been revealed.

A spokesman said: “The exhibition is brought to life by the organisers of the finest themed exhibitions such as Star Trek, King Tut, Titanic, Frida Kahlo and Michael Jackson.

“Brought to life using a special printing technique which emulates the look and feel of the original paintings, visitors are given a chance to engage with the artwork in ways that were never before possible.

“They can see every detail, every brushstroke and every colour of the artist’s 34 frescoes.

“The experience is hands-free and perfect for our socially distant yet innovative world.”

The experience is true to size and will be enjoyed at a currently undisclosed location in the Second City.

What is known, though, is that the state-of-the-art technology will thrive in a spacious location where Michelangelo’s masterpieces stretch from floor to ceiling.

The exhibition starts in April and the duration is between 60 and 90 minutes. The event is suitable for all ages and tickets start at £10, with student, senior and NHS discounts available. and can be bought at sistinechapelexhibit.com/birmingham
