Mamma Mia! at the Birmingham Hippodrome

The global phenomenon Mamma Mia! returns to Birmingham Hippodrome, as part of a UK tour celebrating 20 years since the show premiered. The musical uses Abba’s classics to tell the story of a mother, daughter, and three possible dads unfolding on a Greek Island paradise. The critically acclaimed show is playing through to Saturday 14th May, and anyone who wants more information should head on over to the Birmingham Hippodrome website.

Jukeboxers offering East Asian Street food and live entertainment

Jukeboxers, a duelling piano bar, has partnered up with local street food company, Hope You’re Hungry. The partnership will see the launch of a range of East Asian Street at the venue, such as chicken wings, crispy pork belly and Korean Spiced Jackfruit to indulge in while enjoying the live music and maybe a few cocktails.

The food will be served of the evening’s - Wednesdays through Sundays -  more information is available on the Jukeboxers website.

Blondie playing at the Utilita Arena

The iconic New Wave band Blondie will be playing over at the Utilita Arena this Saturday as part of a 10 date UK tour this May. The band, fronted by Debbie Harry, will be performing a range of their well known classic tracks such as “Heart of Glass” and “The Tide is High”.

The gig will be supported by a performance by The Smiths legend Johnny Marr. Anyone interested in finding out more about the concert should head on over to the Utilita Arena website for more information.

Five Ways to Die walking tour in Westside

Five Ways to Die in Birmingham is a walking tour showing a much darker side to Broad Street and Westside. Taking place this Sunday, the guided tour will show visitors the underlying Gothic history of the area, showing evidence of plague pits, tragic deaths and secret cemeteries.

The circular walk is approximately two miles long, taking around two hours. Anyone wanting to find out more can do so by heading over to eventbrite.co.uk for more information.
