King Charles III’s Coronation is being celebrated with a huge array of parites and events in Birmingham city centre and beyond. The nation has been given an extra bank holiday to mark the crowning of the new British monarch with jubilations taking place from May 6 to 8 - it’s going to be party, party, party.

The royal occasion, which is being held at Westminster Abbey, marks Charles and Camilla’s official ascension to the throne following the death of our beloved previous monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.

Prior to the Coronation big day, the Royal Family have been visiting different cities across the country, with the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate, making a stop in Birmingham last month - being guests at the Indian Streatery on Bennetts Hill and The Rectory in the Jewellery Quarter, where they played darts at the 180 Club.

While the official coronation will take place in London, the West Midlands is going above and beyond in its celebrations. From Birmingham to Solihull to West Brom - there’s something to do in your community to celebrate all things British.
