Human Appeal’s Comedy Takeover is back for its seventh edition with a stop at Birmingham Piccadilly Banqueting Suite on the Stratford Road. The UK humanitarian aid charity will bring some of the biggest names in comedy to twelve cities across the country to raise emergency funds for flood-stricken Pakistan.
On the line-up this year is Imran Yusuf, who made his on screen debut on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, American comedian Omar Regan, who is considered one of the best Muslim comedians in the world. Ali Official, known from BBC Three’s Muzlamic and for presenting the documentary Bring British Bangladeshi will also join the tour.

Hide AdAlso appearing is Aatif Nawaz, writer and star of Muzlamic, who is coming back for his seventh Human Appeal Comedy Tour. The New York based stand-up comedian, writer and actor Sabeen Sadiq, who was selected for a 2022 JFL New Faces stand-up Showcast in New York, completes the line up.
Human Appeal’s Comedy Takeover tour will kick off in Newcastle before coming to Birmingham Piccadilly on Wednesday December 21, 2022. The tour will culminate in a black-tie gala event on New Year’s Eve in London with special guest Guz Khan.
Zaheer Khan, Director of Fundraising at Human Appeal, said: “Having recently visited some of the worst affected flood areas, it is heartening that our annual event is supporting the rebuilding of the homes of those who lost everything in the floods. We thank our headline sponsor Broadway City Gwadar who supported this tour with the aim of putting a smile on the faces of both those attending the show as well the vulnerable families impacted by the devastating floods in Pakistan.”
