Heidi’s Bar opening on Friday night
This weekend sees the opening of Heidi’s Bar on Broad Street. It’s an Alpine cottage-themed bar where dancing on the tables is not only allowed but encouraged. The bar is set across two floors, offering 1,100 capacity. It will also be the first of the Scandinavian chain’s venues to serve food. Live music, DJs, karaoke - the bar is not one to miss. Pet Shop Boys at Resorts World Arena
Pet Shop Boys are playing over at Resorts World Arena this Saturday. The iconic synth-pop duo are in Birmingham as part of their current tour Dreamworld. The performance showcases all of their greatest hits, including such classics as “West End Girls”. Magic Goes Wrong at the Birmingham Hippodrome

The performance sees a hapless group of magicians stage an evening of grand illusion to raise money for charity, only to see things begin to go horribly wrong.

Weekend at the Night Owl
Busy weekend over at the Night Owl with an eclectic mix of styles. On Friday night from 10pm, Le Freak presents The Get Down features a mix of soul, funk and boogie. Then Saturday between 8pm and 11, the venue hosted The Ska Roots Collective - Old school ska and reggae with a modern soulful twist.
Then from 11pm onwards it’s Dig? - playing groovy music from the 1950s right through to the 1990s, which we have been assured contains plenty of soul. Head over to: the Night Owl Birmingham
