Great Birmingham Run 2023: race arrival and start times for half marathon and 10k - full list of colour waves

The Great Birmingham Run is coming around fast, and thousands of participants will be taking to the city streets. Runners will have the option to run either a 10k route of a half marathon, depending on how confident they feel.

Taking place on May 7, the Great Birmingham Run will be one of the biggest events in the city calendar. To ensure a smooth day, participants will begin their race at staggered times.

There will be an information point open in Centenary Square on both May 6 and 7. On Saturday May 6, the info point will be open from 10am to 4pm and on Sunday May 7- race day - this will be open from 7.30am. 

Participants taking part in either the 10k or the half marathon will be divided into three colour groups - orange, green and pink. Each of these will start at staggered times from 9.30am.

• 8.45am - Junior Great Birmingham Run starts

• 9.25am - Mini Great Birmingham Run starts

• 9.30am - Fast Paced Club Runners- Half Marathon and 10k Orange waves start

• 9.45am - Half Marathon and 10k Green waves start

• 10am - Half marathon and 10k pink waves start
