Anyone who wants to let the child inside them free can take part in an event at Alton Towers where they can run, go on rides, and have a day of good fun - and all for a good cause.

Free rides are available to those who sign up for running events at Alton Towers this coming weekend (Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 November 2022). Anyone can run with Team Birmingham’s Children’s Hospital at UK’s biggest theme park for the 5k, 10k & Half Marathon events around the park.

This event is open to all abilities and people of all ages - making it a family event. The starting and finishing lines are within Alton Towers Theme Park. Alton Towers recently closed their famed Nemesis ride but there are many more rides that are great for thrill-seekers.

After all, you can be never too young to have some fun. With Christmas still some way off, this is a fun event to take part in meanwhile.

How to get free rides?

If you take on a chip timed 5k, 10k or Half Marathon not only do you earn yourself a unique themed medal but you can also enjoy the rides for free.

Birmingham Children’s Hospital has a limited number of free charity places available and each place has a minimum fundraising target. You can choose your distance on the hospital’s website and book your place for Run For Charity. You also get a free vest when you sign up for the run. You can sign up for the event on the hospital’s website.

When and where is the event

The event is of course at Alton Towers Resort and it happens this weekend. It starts at 7.30am on November 12 and ends on November 13 at 11.30am.
