Oxford rock band Foals are out on tour following the release of their latest album ‘Life is Yours’.

As part of this tour, the band will be calling in at Birmingham and bringing both old and new songs with them.

The 2022 date has been rescheduled from 8 May 2021, when the show was cancelled due to the pandemic.

Here’s all you need to know ahead of the show, including what the likely setlist will be, if tickets are available and information on who is supporting Foals in Birmingham.

When are Foals playing in Birmingham?

Foals show in Birmingham is one of the first shows of the tour, and is the first they will play in England.

Saturday, 23 April is when they are due to play at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham on what will be the band’s third tour date.

If you are unable to get to the Birmingham show, fear not. There are still tickets available for shows in other towns and cities in the UK.

Foals’ tour started in Edinburgh with two dates before heading to Birmingham.

The arena show schedule finishes on 8 May at the O2 Academy Brixton before two outdoor summer shows in Leeds and Manchester.

How do I get tickets for the Birmingham show?

As this is a rescheduled show, tickets for the original date are still valid.

Tickets are also still available to purchase through The Ticket Factory, the ticket partner of Utilita Arena Birmingham.

Tickets are available for £33.50 and £44.75, with the cost of booking fees included in the price.

What is the setlist?

Foals ‘Life is Yours’ tour hasn’t yet started, so it’s tricky to know exactly which songs the band will play in Birmingham.

However, it can be expected that several tracks from ‘Life is Yours’ will be performed, as well as some of the band’s most popular songs including ‘My Number’ and ‘Mountain at my Gates’.

During the ‘Life is Yours’ tour, Foals will be supported by punk outfit Goat Girl.

Fresh from supporting Sam Fender on his UK tour, Goat Girl are a post-punk band originally from London.

Goat Girl have released two albums, the eponymous record in 2018 and ‘On All Fours’ which came out in 2021.

The band gives a fresh meaning to punk and are sure to put on a great show.

Goat Girl are due to start playing at 7.30pm, an hour before Foals will take to the stage.

Who are Foals and what songs are they known for?

Foals are a British rock band who formed in Oxford in 2005. Their current line up is  lead vocalist and guitarist Yannis Philippakis, drummer and percussionist Jack Bevan and rhythm guitarist Jimmy Smith.

For over a decade, the band have toured internationally and sold out arenas across the globe.

They have released seven studio albums, including most recently ‘Life is Yours’ which was launched earlier this year.

They are most well known for their songs ‘Mountain At My Gate’ and ‘My Number’ and have been nominated for many awards in the last 14 years.

In 2020, they won the NME Award for ‘Best Live Band’.
