Five of the best rooftop bars you can visit in Birmingham all year round

There’s nothing like taking a sip of something special while looking out onto some of the best views in England.

And you don’t have to wait till summer to enjoy an al fresco tipple.

Cafe culture has come along way over the past couple of years as we’ve had to grapple with restrictions on whether we can meet up with friends indoors or not.

A benefit of this is that many of Birmingham’s bars and restaurants have adapted their premises to cater for outdoor catch ups all year round.

That’s why we have put together a guide of our favourite rooftop bars which are open in winter, summer, autumn and sprint so you can enjoy the stunning views the city has to offer whatever the weather.

The Button Factory

Situated in the Jewellery Quarter, The Button Factory, one of the city’s most popular haunts, has a gorgeous roof terrace which you can enjoy while sipping a cool beer during the day cocktails at night or even a bottomless brunch on the weekend.

There’s also mouth-watering food with a varied and balanced menu, making The Button Factory the perfect location for a romantic meal for two or a night out with friends.

Marco Pierre White steakhouse

He may be known to many as the only man to ever reduce Gordon Ramsay to tears, but the legendary chef’s famous rooftop bar in Birmingham has an incredible view for you take in over gorgeous food and delightful cocktails.

The restaurant is located at the top of The Cube building in the Mailbox district, where you can enjoy a meal from a classic British menu in an atmospheric setting.

Sky by the Water

Whether it’s afternoon tea, cocktails, or quality food, at Sky by the Water you can enjoy it all in a relaxed rooftop setting with stunning views.

The menu is varied and includes beef; loin of pork with crispy pork cheek; salmon and dill fishcakes with fennel, baby carrots and a smoked cream sauce or our corn-fed chicken with truffle mushroom risotto.

The venue, which is located on the fifth floor at Resorts World Birmingham on outskirts of the city, also has Secret Garden pods you can access while enjoy a beer in the sun.

The Canal House

Famed for its incredible Sunday roast, beautiful décor, and idyllic location, The Canal House is one of the city’s most popular and busiest venues with a rooftop bar.

There aren’t many better places to enjoy a cocktail on a summer’s evening than sat outside on the terrace at The Canal House.

Henman and Cooper bar and rooftop

Often a popular location for those looking to unwind on the weekend, Henman and Cooper has great views and delicious cocktails.

The bar has two cocktail menus on offer including the ‘Henman’s Vegetable Patch’ menu of vegetable-infused tipples and the ‘Cooper’s Candy Store’ selection of sweeter concoctions.

Great food is also on offer with a varied all day menu.
