The February half term is almost here and you might be wondering what to do and where to take your young ones to keep them occupied. To help you decide, we have compiled a list of places to visit and things to do in and around Birmingham next week.

Freddo’s Circus Stage Show at Cadbury World, Linden Rd, Birmingham B30 1JR 

Beginning earlier this month, Freddo’s Stage Show will be running through until the end of March.

As well as a trip to Cadbury’s World for all things chocolatey, visitors during half term can also see the show and join Freddo the Frog and Richie Ringmaster in the big top.

You’ll also laugh at the antics of ’Freddo the Clown’, marvel at the juggling of ’Spin Master Freddo’ and let ’The Great Fredeedo’ read your mind.

Throughout half term, Cadbury’s World is open from 9am to 4.30pm

Fiendish Felons at the Black Country Living Museum, Tipton Rd, Dudley DY1 4SQ

Do you or your family fancy yourselves as detectives? If so, then get yourself to ‘Fiendish Felons’ at the Black Country Living Museum.

The museum is inviting visitors to assist a police constable in tackling a Black Country crime wave.

Various time slots across each day of half term, and booking in advance is necessary.

Something for younger children here, but something which they are sure to enjoy.

The Toddler Boats take place every wednesday at 10am, and so booking ahead is essential and you’ll need to get in quick.

Join the team at Dudley Canal & Caverns for a 20 minute boat trip where you are told stories and songs led by their volunteers as we sail along. You might be sailing out onto the open canal or heading underground into our tunnels!

The price of admission is £1 per passenger.

Festival of Archery at Warwick Castle Warwick CV34 4QU 

For something just a little bit different, why not take a trip to Warwick Castle to learn about archery this February half term?

There will be lots of exciting displays from archers taking place, but make sure to stay around for all of the other wonderful attractions at the castle.

Admission for everyone three years and above is £21 when bought in advance or £29 on the day, so booking early is recommended.

LEGO® MYTHICA at LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Birmingham Arena, King Edwards Rd,

For a day of brick-building fun, you can take your family along to Lego Mythica at Legoland Birmingham.

A wide range of activities will be available, including 4D films and a chance to create your own Lego hero.

Airfix Make and Take at the RAF Museum Cosford, Albrighton, Wolverhampton WV7 3EX

Something which is located out towards the west of the West Midlands is a family friendly model making event.

For just £5, you can purchase a model, build it, and take it home with you.

A selection of kits will be available, and young model makers will have the chance to get to work surrounded by some iconic aircraft.

Muddy Welly Trail at RSPB Sandwell ValleyTanhouse Ave, Birmingham B43 5AG

If getting into muddy puddles is more your thing, then why not check out the Muddy Welly Trail at RSPB Sandwell Valley.

As well as the refreshing walk around the centre, there is added fun with the hunt for 10 wellies.

The reserve need the help of visitors in tracking them all down. Are you up to the task?

The trail is open from 19 to 27 February and the centre is open 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Sunday.
