The ‘Evolution’ drone show - a unique spectacle never seen before in Birmingham - is set to take place at Edgbaston Stadium

"Evolution," a drone light show, that promises to take audiences on a mesmerising journey through time and space, will be held at Edgbaston Stadium. this October.

The event is organised by Celestial, Yuup, and Edgbaston Stadium.

John Hopkins, Celestial’s Founder & CEO, describes it as “an experience of stadium scale, created to bring audiences together using a new medium, the sky, to tell the story of time.”

The show, which starts with the Big Bang, takes audiences through the history of life on Earth.

Audiences can expect epic storytelling with themes of transformation, growth and the perpetual dance of change. From single-cell organisms, awe-inspiring dinosaurs and the dawning of modern humans.

After successful sell-out shows in Bristol, Cardiff, and the East Midlands, the tour will stop in Birmingham.

Dominic Mills, Founder & CEO of Yuup, is excited to bring this “unique spectacle to the people of Birmingham and at such an epic scale.

“Our shows have now been viewed by 60,000 people and the show is now even bigger and better with more drones and a much longer show time than our early productions.”

The event is suitable for all ages, with attendees introduced to drone technology before the main performance.

The event takes place on Saturday 26 October at Edgbaston Stadium. It will begin at 17:30, with food, drink, and a live DJ before the show starts at 19:30.
