The trip is just one as part of a 17-venue tour which also includes a date at the London Palladium. This will be the second tour from the hugely successful podcast team, following a series of sold out shows in 2022.

Since The Good, The Bad & The Rugbylaunched in summer 2020, it has become the world’s biggest rugby show, with more than 12 million listens and 50 million-plus views online. Tickets will go on general sale from Friday, March 3 at 10am from www.cuffeandtaylor.com

What can we expect at the show?

Alex, James and Mike will take to the stage to share their own personal World Cup stories – with the tour coming 20 years after Mike was part of the England side which brought home the Webb Ellis Trophy from Australia in 2003.

They will also be recapping all the action from the 10th men’s Rugby World Cup, which takes place in France in September and October… In their very own, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby style.

The trio will take to the stage to recreate the trademark banter they have on air, as The Good (Alex), The Bad (James) And The Rugby (Mike), share tales from on and off the pitch for what promises to be a night filled with surprises and laughter with audience interaction, fun and games.

Episodes of the podcast have featured glimpses into each of the men’s lives – Mike announced his son’s dramatic birth on the bathroom floor on air, and they have regular guest appearances from some of the rugby world’s biggest stars and most controversial names.

Alongside the rugby chat, The Good, The Bad And The Rugbyis popular with fans thanks to its mix of general sporting and pop-culture talking points – meaning it is a hit with rugby fans as well as a wider general audience.

What have Mike and James said about the tour in their own words?

Announcing the tour, Mike said:We had an amazing time touring with The Good, The Bad And The Rugby – LIVE last year, so we cannot wait to get back out there in the Autumn, with the lowdown on all things World Cup.  Personally, it will be a really special way to look back on being part of the England World Cup winning squad from 2003 – and hopefully England fans will have something to celebrate again.”

James added: “Listeners to the podcast know how much we love sharing our stories and experiences of the game and getting stuck into the stories from our guests. It’s exciting to be planning another live tour for The Good, The Bad And The Rugby.

Apparently we’ve been told we’ve got to talk about rugby and the World Cup but, as always, I will be steering it towards the characters and off field misdemeanours… So buy a ticket, and jump on the GBR magical mystery tour!”

And Alex said: “Anyone who has ever listened to the show knows that my role is part host, part baby-sitter and part punchbag.  Frankly, after two months in France at what will be an epic tournament, the last thing I want to do is spend more time with the other two – particularly on the road.  But I’ve got to pay the bills.  Time to get the goggles on and climb into the sidecar once again. See you there!”

What have the promoters said about the tour?

Ben Hatton, Director of Theatre Touring for promoters Cuffe and Taylor, said: “The Good, The Bad And The Rugby tour in 2022 was a huge hit with fans of the game and podcast listeners. Since then, the podcast has gone from strength to strength so we can’t wait to see the reaction when Alex, James and Mike get back on the road after what is expected to be a brilliant men’s Rugby World Cup 2023.”
