With schools being shut for two weeks for Easter holidays, parents might be wondering how to keep their children entertained and occupied.
Fortunately, Birmingham has loads to do during the holidays from April 3 to 14 that won’t cost them any money. From science museums to art galleries and arts and crafts activities - there are many family-friendly attractions in the city. These activities are great for challenging your children creatively and intellectually and also building social skills.
It’s a jam-packed programme during the two weeks. From home activities on Bring it on Brum to parks, egg hunts and more - you won’t have to stress about finding things for your kids to do.

5. B:Music - Town Hall & Symphony Hall

6. Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum, Millenium Point
The Birmingham Science Museum has free entry for children between 0-2 years and has free entry for students on Wednesdays. This Easter Holiday, they have hidden their nature collection eggs around Thinktank. You can go on the trail to find as many as you can. Event runs 10am - 5pm throughout the Easter holidays (from Saturday 1 – Sunday 16 April). You can also drop in to have fun with some favourite gadgets and gizmos, all powered by electricity. 7. Dawberry Fields, Kings Heath
You can join the Dawberry Fields Reptile Project on 14th April from 10.30-12.30. They’ll be planting trees and installing stone baskets to provide safe places for protected species such as the common lizard and slow worm to bask and hibernate. No experience necessary and all tools will be provided and it is all free. | google maps
8. Touchwood Solihull’s Super Easter Adventure
Starting on Saturday 1st April, Touchwood is launching its very own ‘Super Easter Adventure’ to celebrate the launch of the new The Super Mario Bros. Movie and its all free. From Gordon the Monkey to an egg-citing adventure trail - you can do it all there. | Touchwood Solihull
