Sneak peek at Drayton Manor’s Coronation street party - the only theme park to host such an event

As the official coronation of King Charles III takes place in London this Saturday (May 6), Drayton Manor Resort will be marking the occasion in style.

Over the coronation bank holiday weekend, the West Midlands attraction will be decked out for the occasion, with guests able to wave their Union Jack flags and get into the celebratory spirit with live music from ‘superstar’ tribute acts, enjoy classic street and enjoy a dazzling fireworks display.

As well as joining in the celebrations, fun-seekers will be able to enjoy more than 50 rides and attractions, including Shockwave, Maelstrom, and Accelerator, as well as explore the Vikings area where they can climb aboard family-favourite thrill ride Loki or enjoy rides on Jormungandr and Sleipnir.

Who will perform at the Coronation Street Party?

Performances will include including ‘superstar’ tribute act Freddie – a tribute to Queen, Shape of Sheeran, and Elton’s rocket man show.

Friday evening will feature a Queen tribute act by Freddie, followed by the Ed Sheeran tribute on Saturday evening. Finally on Sunday evening, parkgoers will see an Elton John tribute act.

Visitors can expect an exceptional live music experience, and there’s no better way to end a night than with the beautiful display of fireworks.

What rides and attractions will be available ?

All the rides and attractions will be available for parkgoers to enjoy throughout the day until 8 pm, with the exception of Thomas Land, which will close at 5:30 pm.

When is the fireworks show ?

The fireworks will begin at around 9pm however organisers say they could be delayed due to the sunset. It is recommended that visitors arrive early to secure a good viewing spot near the lake.

How much are tickets and how can I get them ?

Tickets for the evening rides and fireworks start at £20, while a full-day ticket costs £36, providing access to the park from 10:30 am until the end of the celebrations at 9 pm. These tickets can be purchased online.
