The 2022 Commonwealth Games are fast approaching, and the eyes of the sporting world will soon be fixed on Birmingham.
With the games starting at the end of July, the opportunity to book tickets to events is coming to an end.

Hide AdIf you haven’t got your hands on tickets, fear not, as there are still plenty of tickets going for a whole host of Commonwealth Games events.
To avoid disappointment, here’s what you need to know about the events you can buy tickets for and also when the events take place.
When is the Commonwealth Games 2022?


The opening ceremony of the games takes place on Thursday, 28 July. This signals the beginning of the tournament.
A packed schedule will see the games conclude on Monday, 8 August.

Hide AdIn total, there will be 286 sessions of sport taking place across 11 days.
Can I still buy tickets?
The final batch of tickets was released to the public on 19 April 2022, and many of these tickets are still up for grabs.
Tickets for various events are on sale through the official website of the Commonwealth Games.
Lots of sessions of sport are still available, including athletics, T20 cricket and a small selection of tickets for the closing ceremony of the games.

Hide AdPrices are displayed clearly on the games website, and many events are reasonably priced.
For example, tickets to the T20 group matches cost between £8 and £22.
Other events where tickets are still available include Basketball, Badminton, Cycling and Gymnastics.

A full, comprehensive guide to which sport is happening when and where has been released for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The first event of the games is due to be Lawn Bowls and Para Lawn Bowls which will get underway at Victoria Park in Leamington Spa at 8.30am on 29 July.
The opening ceremony of the games is due to begin at 7pm on Thursday, 28 July at the Alexander Stadium.
The closing ceremony will begin at 8pm on Monday, 8 August and finish at approximately 10pm.
