47 Solihull road closures for King Charles III Coronation bank holiday - full list here

King Charles III’s Coronation is set to take place on Saturday, May 6 – with an extra bank holiday being announced for Monday, May 8 as the country celebrates.

During the ceremony the King will be crowned alongside Camilla, the Queen Consort. Following the coronation there will be an extra bank holiday on Monday 8 May to allow people to ‘come together and celebrate’.

Solihull residents are set to take to the streets, with parties being held across the borough over the Coronation weekend. A giant screen will be in place at the Core theatre in Solihull for residents to watch the ceremony live from Westminster Abbey - there will also be lots of kid’s activities too at the Core.
