Deliveroo has doubled the number of its restaurant partners in Birmingham since the start of the pandemic and is seeing huge growth in orders - despite the ending of lockdown restrictions.

Local customers can now order from more than 2,500 restaurants on Deliveroo - double the number since February 2020. With some of its most popular restaurant partners being in Alum Rock and Sparkbrook

The online food ordering app says it’s providing a vital lifeline to the hospitality industry in the city throughout the pandemic - by helping restaurants to keep trading and reach new customers during lockdowns.

In December 2021, the number of Deliveroo orders in Birmingham were more than 300% higher than in February 2020.

To reflect this strong growth and commitment to this key market, the company will be opening a new office in Birmingham this April.

The business has also expanded its grocery offering in the city, with the number of grocery sites available on the app increasing fivefold since February 2020.

Deliveroo said it is committed to supporting the growth of small and independent restaurants.

Some of its best performing restaurants in the area include Roscoes in Sparkbrook, and Sam and Harry’s in Alum Rock.
