13 melodious pictures of Birmingham Tradfest 2023 in pubs around Digbeth

A Trip to Birmingham Tradfest returned at the weekend with Irish music sessions in pubs across Digbeth with pictures by Jack Rogers

Scores of musicians arrived in Digbeth over the weekend (from Thursday, November 23) to join A Trip to Birmingham Tradfest 2023.

The popular celebration of traditional Irish music has become a huge highlight across the pubs over the last eight years.

Talented musicians with harps, fiddles, accordions, bodhrans, tin whistles, guitars and more performed free folk sessions throughout the day and night in Nortons, The Spotted Dog, Big Bulls Head, The Old Crown, Cleary’s, The Ruin and The Crossing at South & City College.

The raw energy and excitement reignited the thriving live music scene with hundreds following the session trail over the three days.
