There are some wonderful shows happening in Birmingham and beyond this summer - take a look at what is going on in theatres in the city, Wolverhampton, Solihull and Oldbury

Birmingham is going to be alive with shows over the next few months with some specially created shows produced as part of the Commonwealth Games Festival.

There are some old favourites too - including the latest production of Les Miserables, Bugsy Malone and Guys and Dolls - and some exciting outdoor community events and some fabulous new work from Birmingham Royal Ballet.

Birmingham Hippodrome highlights

Singing’ In The Rain at Birmingham Hippodrome

Sam Lips, Charlotte Gooch, Ross McLaren and Jenny Gayner are starring in the 2022 production of Singin’ In The Rain.

Audiences will be transported back to the roaring 1920s where Hollywood star Don Lockwood is living his best life.

The performance includes 14,000 litres of water on stage every night as part of high-energy choreography created by Andrew Wright.

This annual festival brings together extraordinary artists and breath-taking acts from across all four elements of Hip-Hop: breakin’, graffiti, DJ’ing and MC’ing.
