Birmingham’s nightlife options keep expanding. This month sees the opening of a roller disco, adding to many novelties in the city, such as Albert Schloss’s cabaret, a new mezcal bar Crazy Pedro’s opening in Digbeth, a number of social darts bars including Flight Club and social cricket club Sixes at the Mailbox.
But where is best to go for a really good night out in the city? We ask the local people who know best. Let us know what you think too.
Tracy says: “So the best nights out in Birmingham, I would say, would be on the Thursday and Friday night. Especially with work people. I would recommend Albert Schloss. That’s great. Be At One, Manahatta. And there’s another place called - I forgot the name but it’s great for cocktails and all of that.
“And over the weekend, it depends on what you’re used to. If you’re someone who likes R&B Or like house music, it just depends, but the locals no where to go.”
Monty says: “So we’re not really like going out people. But I mean, I’ve been to a couple of clubs - I would say probably 101 nightclub is up there.
“If you’re looking for more of a fun night out and a bit of banter with your mates and that, I’d probably say Rosies on Broad Street, or even Snobs - but it’s a bit of a mad place. If you’re going for, like, a quiet night out - maybe a date with a girl - say Ghetto Golf. Places to eat like, Brindleyplace.”
Erin “Okay, well, one of the best nights out I’ve been on is Prism, when I was a student. So, it looks like student night on Thursday. I haven’t been there in months because of COVID and whatever. But definitely say Pryzm, just, like Broad Street is probably your best bet. And then if you’re a bit more alternative maybe Digbeth?”
