The NEC Birmingham is once again playing host to BBC Gardeners’ World Live and BBC Good Food Show Summer this weekend. The events will celebrate the best the Midlands has to offer.

Tickets will provide attendees with access to both shows, so guests can enjoy two events for the price of one. Local businesses will be in attendance giving people the opportunity to discover the best of the region.

The four-day event will give insights into local gardening and food. At the BBC Gardeners’ World Live event, talks will be hosted on a variety of stages, including Beautiful Borders, We Grow Stage and House Plant Hub, with Big Kitchen, Summer Kitchen and Let’s Talk Good Food stages at the BBC Good Food Show Summer.

West Midlands Roads has advised locals in the area to expect delays around the NEC on the M42 and A45 roads whilst the event is underway. Roadworks on the M42 at junctions 3A and 5, will also cause travel issues in the area, with visitors being warned to allow extra travel time.

Whether you’re just starting out or are an expert gardener, you can expect advice from Midland’s green-fingered experts, including the creator of UK House Plants, Joe Bagley and Walsall-based “laughing gardener”, Darren Rudge. The pair will be hosting daily sessions in the House Plant Hub, with Bagley teaching visitors about simplistic houseplant care whilst offering advice.
