What’s on at Birmingham NEC: Head down to the Big Top for extreme circus acts to amaze and enthral this May
For five years this dazzling show has been carefully curated and practiced and now it’s about to tour the UK and will be at at Birmingham NEC for two weeks from May 19 to June 1.

Death-defying stunts
Watch as the Danguir Troupe try the double wheel of death stunt including the World’s First double summersault which has never been performed in the United Kingdom, this troupe were the stars of the famous Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey in the USA.
Another award-winning act is the high-wire acrobatics of the Ayala Troupe. This Guinness World Record holding act has been performed all over the world and most recently showcased in the World famous Monte Carlo Circus Festival.
Just back from its European tour, the EXTREME® freestyle motocross team will take to the Big Top. Expect cliff-hanging stunts as the pilots fly through the air. Battling for air space, the resident riders are sure to get the adrenaline pumping as they defy gravity with incredible mid-air backflips.
Petrol-heads will love this one. The EXTREME® stunt riding team will also be performing the Globe of Death, described as the most death-defying act ever demonstrated. Creating G-forces similar to those of a fighter pilot the performers loop vertically and horizontally all while encased in a mesh sphere.
Direct from Brazil walking upside down high in the roof of the Big Top is Super Silva Junior, witness a mind blowing daredevil performance showcasing incredible agility, trapeze and balancing skills all performed in a unique style for this new production.
It wouldn’t be a circus without a clown – enter Henry the Prince of Clowns, a legendary figure in the circus, who will be keeping the audience amused throughout the show.
British legend, Laura Miller, returns home to showcase her internationally-renowned aquatic aerial ring which unites the elements of fire, water and air. The act includes aerial hoop skills combining grace, beauty, visually stunning lights and music that will transport viewers into a sci-fi world.
There’s more death-defying airborne stunts with the Aerial Duo Polischuk, who are one of the few acts in the World to perform these mid air acrobatics – audiences watch in awe as they hold each other by their teeth high in the roof of the Big Top.
Resident Street bike rider and now a South American legend, Paulinho will be performing his high-energy octane display including wheelies, stoppies and burn-outs on his two-wheeled machine. Together with Circus Extreme’s troupe of dancers and musicians performing their acts all with unique twists.
