Legendary Birmingham nightclub is doubling in size - and the doors open next month
The move marks a new chapter in the city's nightlife.
One of Birmingham’s key live music players is about to level up. Forum Digbeth has confirmed a major expansion that will double its capacity from 2,000 to 4,000 with the launch of a new adjoining warehouse space called The Annexe. The doors open on 20 December.

The move marks one of the biggest shifts in the city’s nightlife and live music landscape this year. It comes only months after the Forum team were forced to close their previous site, Forum Birmingham, following the sudden shutdown of the Corporation Square building by its landlords.
Forum Digbeth opened soon after at the former Roller Jam site in Digbeth, and the new warehouse takes the project into a new chapter.
Cru2 will launch The Annexe on opening night, setting the tone for a run of large scale events. DnB Allstars will take over New Year’s Eve, and major promoters including Live Nation, Louder and Bongo’s Bingo are already locked in for 2026.

Louder said the new space carries the same raw, industrial character that has become a signature for Forum Digbeth, and praised the atmosphere it can create for both artists and fans. Billy Chauhan of Global Venues added that the doubled capacity meets the city’s growing demand for bigger shows, stronger production and ambitious programming.
Bongo’s Bingo also hailed the venue as a standout home for its events, citing its staff, sound and production as a major upgrade for the experience.
The expansion signals Forum’s commitment to shaping the future of Birmingham’s nightlife, giving the city a space that can support larger audiences and high impact events.
More details on The Annexe are set to land soon. Fans can sign up for updates and ticket information at forumbirmingham.uk.
