The second episode of Brummie comedianJoe Lycett’s late night chat show was a hoot, but one of the crew members went home after ‘losing’ her job.

The special guests on the second episode included Daisy May Cooper, Rylan, David Harewood and Greg James. Comedian Katherine Ryan, who was supposed to be part of the first episode, made a second attempt after her barge-related mishap. However, another mishap on a boat prevented her from turning up.

Lycett - who welcomed Brummie legend Harewood on the show - showed the actor what has become of his Walk of Star in Broad Street, Birmingham. And, Harewood pointed out that Lycett doesn’t have one.

The episode was full of shenanigans including games like “Finish Me Off”, which the comedian introduced with by saying “this is screamed behind the scenes at This Morning”, leading to Rylan laughing. Not just that but Presenter Greg James joined Joe Lycett, as Joe embodied Richard Yewtree. The duo rattled through topics on their Straight Talking bit, including The Little Mermaid, Jim Davidson and French politician, Marlène Schiappa.

Lycett, who took a dig at his real-life aunts, had a taste of his own medicine when his aunties Pauline and Margaret embarassed him by showing some never-seen-before footage of a young 8-year old Joe presenting the weather.

Who was fired on air?

Channel 4’s Late Night Lycett had a special four-legged camera assistant helping with the show, but the pooch was not in the host’s good books.

The trainee camera operator and Labrador - Linda Biscuit - got the boot from Joe Lycett for taking liberties in the studio. Despite guests and fans’ outrage, Lycett did not change his mind.

Why was Linda fired?

After Linda had a wee on set, Joe sacked her saying: “Linda Biscuits, this is not the sort of behaviour I will tolerate from a crew member. No, it is unprofessional. There is a code of conduct and pissing on this set is definitely overstepping the mark. We sacked Carlos the sound man for the same thing, I can’t do double standards. Linda, you’re sacked.”

Linda’s sudden firing resulted in booing and chants of “Linda” from the guests and audience members.

Late Night Lycett is on every Friday at 10pm on Channel 4 and All 4 .
