Back to Black became the album that transformed Amy Winehouse, who died in 2011 aged 27, from a rising British talent into a global megastar and propelled her to unprecedented heights.

She won five Grammy Awards at the 2008 ceremony, including record of the year and best pop vocal album, making her the first British woman to win that many in one night.

Performing with her that evening, as they had since her earliest gigs in London pubs, was her band, led by Amy's long‑time musical director and bass player Dale Davis.

The band still features members who both toured and recorded with Amy throughout her career.

Dale said: "I can't believe that it's the 20th anniversary of Back To Black this year.

"When I congratulated Amy on the success of this incredible album, she said to me, not with any arrogance 'I knew what I was doing', and at that moment, I realised that she knew exactly what she had created.

"It's still an honour, pleasure and privilege to be performing these songs, from this timeless classic."
