This shocking image has been shared by police to remind motorists to never sit in their car when they’ve broken down.
Staffordshire Police were called to the M6 in the West Midlands after the crash on Wednesday evening.
They posted on X: “This is a prime example why you do not sit within your vehicle if you break down on the motorway. Tonight we have attended an RTC on the M6 whereby there were no injuries.
“Should the occupants have been sitting within the vehicle it would have been a very different story.”
