Midlands traffic: Herd of sheep halt traffic in both directions on M6

Traffic was stopped in both directions on the M6 due to a herd of sheep.

National Highways stopped the traffic on the motorway near Staffordshire between Junction 14 for Stafford and Junction 15 for Stoke-on-Trent.

The herd of sheep were wandering close to the carriageway.

Traffic officers worked to get them to safety, Traffic was stopped at around 9.45am this morning (Wed 9)
