Birmingham has left out of WWE’s plans for their Road to WrestleMania, despite registering interest in hosting a major event in 2025.
According to the American wrestling website WrestleVotes, Birmingham along with Manchester had been interested in hosting the Elimination Chamber event which is expected to take place in March. It is the final premium live event or pay-per-view before their showcase event, WrestleMania.

According to WrestleVotes, there is a focus of hosting a bigger PLE further on down the line. The event will instead be held at the Scotia Bank Arena in Toronto in early March, as the wait goes on for Birmingham to host a major WWE event. The last time Birmingham hosted a WWE PPV in the UK was 25-years ago, when The Rock faced Triple H in a Steel Cage match at the Rebellion PPV, which was held in the National Indoor Arena.
WWE have since announced an 'unprecedented' 11-city tour of the United Kingdom and Europe, on their Road to WrestleMania. Three episodes of RAW and three episodes of Smackdown will be broadcast from Spain, Belgium, Italy, Scotland, and England.
Birmingham unfortunately won’t feature on the WWE’s European tour, but they do have the option to go to episodes of RAW and Smackdown in London on Friday, March 28, and Monday, March 31. Glasgow is also hosting an episode of Monday Night Raw on Monday, March 24, whilst there is a house show the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham on Sunday, March 23.
